LA PLATA, MD — July 10, 2026 — The Charles County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of James Reed of WesBanco Bank and Shaun Kline of Edward Jones to the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
The appointments fill current Board vacancies and support the Chamber’s continued focus on strong governance, active leadership, and meaningful representation of Charles County’s business community.
“The Chamber is committed to ensuring our Board reflects the professionalism, leadership, and community commitment our members deserve,” said Kathy Guzman, President & CEO of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce. “James and Shaun each bring valuable experience, a heart for service, and a strong commitment to supporting the business community. We are excited to welcome them to the Board.”
LaKeysha Moore, Chair of the Charles County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, also welcomed the appointments.

About the New Board Members

James Reed
Serves as Vice President and Mortgage Originator with WesBanco Bank. He brings more than 21 years of experience in banking, mortgage lending, affordable housing programs, financial literacy education, and community lending. His work has focused on helping families achieve homeownership, supporting low- to moderate-income buyers, and expanding access to financial education and generational wealth-building opportunities.

Shaun Kline
Serves as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He brings experience in financial advising, client education, operations management, leadership, and Chamber engagement. In addition to his current work helping clients reach their financial goals, Kline has held leadership roles in retail operations and has served on the Chamber’s Membership Committee.
Both appointees bring valuable experience in finance, relationship-building, business development, and community service. Their appointments strengthen the Chamber’s ability to continue advocating for, connecting, and supporting businesses throughout Charles County.
